I have a 2cm tumour grade 3 oestrogen driven. I also have a large area of pre-cancerous DCIS in the same breast. Can I be cured of breast cancer without surgery (mastectomy)?

Thank you very much for contacting us with your concerns regarding breast cancer.
The treatment of localized cancer necessitates at least a lumpectomy, which is a breast conserving surgery to avoid a mastectomy. After the lumpectomy, your chances of cure depend on age, gender, lymph node status, and estrogen status which in your case is positive. An alternative to a mastectomy is radiation to the breast but you will likely need chemotherapy to decrease the risk of the cancer spreading elsewhere.
Sorry again to hear about your diagnosis and I hope this helped. Have a blessed day.
