Liver cancer is due to few risk factors including viral hepatitis and alcohol. Viral hepatitis is responsible for ~65% of cases of liver cancer. the distribution is as follows: Hepatitis C (HCV) is responsible for ~45 %of the total cases , hepatitis B (HBV) for 15% of the cases and in 5% of the cases, both viruses can be found.
